Aspect is a client-side conversion bench — drop in a clip, pick a target ratio, and watch the crop, pad, or stretch render live on canvas before you export. No uploads to a server, no waiting in a queue.

01
Load your clip
Drag a video into the drop zone, or choose a file from your device. It never leaves your browser — there's no upload to a server.
-
02
Pick a target ratio
Choose 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 9:16 or 21:9, then decide how the frame should adapt — padded, cropped, or stretched.
-
03
Watch it render live
The canvas preview redraws the current video frame in your chosen ratio in real time, so you can judge the crop before committing.
-
04
Export
Hit convert and the clip plays through once while the browser records the cropped/padded canvas and original audio into a real MP4 or WebM file — then it's yours to download.
How export actually works: Aspect draws each frame to an off-screen canvas using your chosen fit method, captures that canvas as a video stream, taps the clip's audio through the Web Audio API, and records both together with the MediaRecorder API — entirely on your device, nothing uploaded. Because it plays the clip in real time to capture it, export takes roughly as long as the clip itself. MP4 recording depends on your browser's codec support; where it isn't available, Aspect exports a WebM file instead and labels it accordingly. Works best in a recent version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
